One of the country’s well-respected garden designers will run two garden design courses in 2010:
A course for garden owners who would like to learn how to design their own gardens. Whether you have a virgin plot and need to start from scratch, or have an established garden that you want to rethink or improve, this course will give you the knowledge and confidence to draw a design for your own garden.
The 3 day course will be taught using a combination of slide lectures, demonstrations & guided walks. Each day will include a studio workshop so that you can put your newly acquired knowledge & skills into practice.
Lecture topics will include: Design Principles & Processes, Garden Style and the Use of Colour, Space, Materials & Plants.
The principles of planting design are covered on this course, but students wishing to design the planting in their beds and borders in detail should also consider enrolling on the planting design course.
